At our dental office, we are fully committed to providing optimal care for our patients using high quality materials suited to individual patient needs. Here’s what you can expect:

Exam

The process begins with a very thorough exam: head and neck evaluation, cancer screening, periodontal evaluation and charting, functional/occlusal evaluation, biomechanical and structural evaluation, and digital radiographs. For some patients, especially those considering dental implants, we will also take a CT scan at our office.

Findings

Exam findings vary with each patient. There may be insufficient bone to sustain a dental implant; therefore, bone grafting is indicated. The implant may need to be placed near a sinus cavity or a nerve. Patients who are fearful and/or need a lengthy procedure may opt for sedation (we have several levels available). And then, there’s the restoration placed on the dental implant, which may be a single dental crown, a dental bridge, an implant retained denture, or an All-on-4 implant supported denture. Dr. Phillips is highly trained and experienced in all of these areas, and uses only top quality materials which have undergone extensive clinical trials and made by reputable companies. (With over 2,000 implant systems on the market, many consumers don’t realize that they are not all created equal.)

Treatment Planning and Coordination

Following the exam, Dr. Phillips will explain his findings and present treatment options. Next, our Patient Care Coordinator will explain treatment cost estimates and payment options, check dental insurance coverage, and be the point person for scheduling treatment and long-term follow-up care. If you are referred to our office by another dentist, we will be happy to coordinate continuing care with them throughout the process and beyond.
